Lent Program 2012 - Living Faith

Peace and joy of the coming Season!
Our 2012 diocesan Lenten Program, Living Faith, is now available to order with distribution expected in early January 2012.

LP2012-coverLiving Faith
is a 40 page program designed as a six-week Lenten resource for small groups, prayer companions, staff reflections, families, individuals and even an entire parish retreat option.

The program reflects on the importance of faith in action, inviting us to base our own lived response in the person of Jesus Christ as experienced in the Lenten Gospels. It can be enriching to any individual or group asking the question: what does it mean to respond as a disciple to Christ’s call? As such, it also offers a good foundation for reflecting on both the Year of Grace and Year of Faith in 2012.

Scripture Scholar, Dr Michele Connolly rsj, offers weekly Gospel reflections accompanied by the sharing of a lay person’s own story of faith in action. Each week there are also reflection questions as well as a suggested practical action. The whole is offered within the stunning artwork of indigenous artist, Sally Harrison, whose own story very much embodies a “living faith.”

A CD resource ($5.00) is also available to accompany the program that offers narrations of the Gospels and reflections (narrated by Dr Michele Connolly rsj and the other contributors) as well as a beautiful closing mantra written by Paul Mason and performed by the St Joseph’s Albion Park Vocal Ensemble (conducted by Angela Quinn).

As always, we have attempted to keep prices low (from $4.40) to ensure our resource can be made widely available for local communities. Please find enclosed an order form as well as a printed sample from Week Three of the program. A full copy of the program will be sent to you in early January.

Yours sincerely
